On November 10, 2017, MSE received an official letter from FTSE Russell, a British provider of global stock market indices and associated data services, regarding the outcome of the September 2017 Annual Review for FTSE Russell Frontier Market Watch List.

In recognition of MSE’s commitment to introduce the market enhancements required for Mongolia to meet the Quality of Markets matrix criteria, Governance & Policy managing director Christopher Woods emphasized that FTSE Russell is keen to collaborate with MSE to achieve this goal.

Mongolia was removed from the watch list upon FTSE Russell’s decision that the implementation of T+2 settlement system is unlikely in the near future. Henceforth, MSE encourages all market participants to treat the compliance with FTSE requirements and potential inclusion on the watch list as a top priority.
