MEMBERS OF THE ADVOCATES’ COMMITTEE OF THE MONGOLIAN BAR ASSOCIATION VISIT THE MONGOLIAN STOCK EXCHANGE

2026-10-01 10:34:22

The Advocates’ Committee of the Mongolian Bar Association has expressed its interest in collaborating with the Mongolian Stock Exchange (MSE) on training, research, and legal awareness initiatives aimed at improving the legal framework of the capital market and developing legal professionals specializing in capital market law.

In this regard, representatives of the Advocates’ Committee visited the Mongolian Stock Exchange today (September 29, 2026), where they received presentations and information on the capital market and the trading of mining products on the commodity exchange.

During the visit, N. Otchigin, Product Development Specialist at the Business Development Department of the MSE, delivered a presentation on “Fundamentals of Investment and the Capital Market,” while G. Amartuvshin, Senior Specialist at the Mining Products Exchange Trading Department, gave a presentation on “Mining Product Trading and Relevant Laws and Regulations.”

We also spoke briefly with Ts. Sanjaalkham, Member of the Governing Board of the Advocates’ Committee.

He stated:

“We would like to express our appreciation to the Mongolian Stock Exchange for accepting our request and providing us with comprehensive information on the MSE’s operations, securities trading, and mining product exchange trading. The Advocates’ Committee is placing particular emphasis on providing lawyers and advocates with opportunities to specialize in specific areas. Today’s training provided a strong foundation for this objective, and we gained a broad range of valuable and practical information.

We also believe that there is a need to further develop standardized contract templates used in mining product exchange trading and to provide professional legal assistance to sellers and buyers from the pre-contractual stage.

In addition, professional input and support from lawyers and advocates are essential to establishing processes and mechanisms that can help prevent disputes between parties and, where disputes do arise, resolve them efficiently with minimal cost and administrative burden, without allowing them to escalate. It is also important to establish mechanisms that enable trading activities to continue without interruption even when disputes arise. We see significant potential for cooperation in this area.”

The Mongolian Bar Association and the Mongolian Stock Exchange signed a Memorandum of Understanding in September 2023. The meeting and training session were organized as part of the ongoing cooperation between the two organizations.
